Why Greens Sometimes Fail ( 0.35 CEUs)

The Old Dominion Golf Course Superintendent's Association is sponsoring a GCSAA s Class titled Developing High Performance, People Oriented Golf Course Maintenance Staff. That class is on Tuesday, January 14. ( Call 1-800-472-7878 for more information or to register. )

Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association (VNLA) CEUs
Virginia Certified Horticulturists (formerly, Virginia Certified Nurserymen) need to earn CEUs in order to maintain their certification. The VNLA has approved the following courses for CEUs.

Pesticide Recertification
OPTION ONE: Tuesday, January 14, 2003
A day-long seminar that features outstanding speakers and interesting, timely topics. As usual, we are working with VDACS to provide recertification for Categories 3A, 3B, 5, 6, and 10. Private Applicator and recertification credits from other states are pending.

 

OPTION TWO: Wednesday, January 14, 2003
The second option is new to the VTC. Persons desiring Category 3A and 3B recertifications can now take specified sequences of regularly scheduled classes on Wednesday. The two sequences available are as follows:

8: 00am - 10:00am Lawn & Landscape Maint. Session
10: 30am - 12:30pm Horticulture Session ( Soil Organisms)
2: 30pm - 3:00pm Special Session on Legal Issues
3:00pm - 4:30pm Golf Course Session
4:30pm - 5:00pm Special Session on Environmental Issues
